About two-fifths of respondents indicate that managers in their organization are not getting the education and training needed to digitally empower the people reporting to them. Also, organizations are likely to encourage employees to use appropriate technologies, but only 33% train them in how to leverage such technologies.

Further investigation highlights the findings that changing technologies (70%) and employee expectations (57%) are the biggest drivers for digital empowerment. A large majority of HR professionals anticipate the typical workday will change over the next two years as a result of greater digital empowerment and enablement. The top two anticipated changes involve employee flexibility:
employees will have greater choice about where they work (55%)
work schedules will become more flexible (54%)
