Electrical distribution company Codale Electric Supply is set to expand its operational footprint in 2025, marking its 50th anniversary with a comprehensive growth strategy that underscores its transformation from a small family business to a regional industry leader.

The company's expansion plans include a substantial 150,000-square-foot automated Customer Delivery Center in Las Vegas, designed to enhance order fulfillment efficiency. This strategic investment represents a significant technological upgrade, featuring streamlined picking processes that will potentially reduce delivery times and improve customer service.

Founded in 1975 by Dale and Jay R. Holt with just five employees, Codale has grown to employ over 530 associates across 18 branches in Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, and Idaho. The company's growth trajectory reflects broader trends in electrical distribution, emphasizing technological innovation and strategic regional expansion.

In addition to the Las Vegas distribution center, Codale will open a Pro Logistics Center for value-added services, launch a new branch in Idaho Falls, establish a Will Call location in Saratoga Springs, Utah, and relocate its Midvale branch to Draper. These moves demonstrate a calculated approach to market penetration and service enhancement.

President Todd Saunders highlighted the company's commitment to innovation, noting that their success stems from dedicated associates, loyal customers, and strong support from parent company Sonepar. The expansion builds on a history of technological advancement, including implementing an RF barcode system in 1995 and warehouse automation systems in 2021.
